CSJMU Kanpur Declares 2025-26 Odd Semester Results Under NEP Framework

Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj University (CSJMU) in Kanpur has officially announced the results for various odd semester courses pertaining to the 2025-26 academic session. These examinations were conducted in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) framework, marking a significant step in the university's academic calendar.

University Addresses Result Discrepancies and Issues Directives to Colleges

Following the declaration of results, CSJMU has acknowledged receiving numerous applications from affiliated colleges and students highlighting discrepancies. The primary concerns revolve around subject changes and draft status issues in examination forms. In response, the university has initiated a verification and resolution process to address these cases promptly.

The Controller of Examinations, Rakesh Kumar, issued an official communication to all affiliated college principals. This circular, mandated by the Vice Chancellor, instructs principals to appear before the office of the Deputy Registrar (Examination) on specified dates. They are required to present detailed information regarding student-related issues to facilitate efficient problem-solving.

Detailed Schedule for College Appointments and Submission Requirements

To ensure orderly processing, CSJMU has allocated separate dates for districts, allowing affiliated institutions to submit their applications systematically. The schedule is as follows:

  • March 11, 2026: Etawah and Auraiya districts from 11:00 am
  • March 12, 2026: Kannauj and Farrukhabad districts from 11:00 am
  • March 13, 2026: Kanpur Dehat and Unnao districts from 11:00 am
  • March 14, 2026: Kanpur Nagar district from 11:00 am

Colleges must provide both a soft copy of data in the prescribed format via official email and a hard copy during the meeting. The information should specifically include cases related to subject modification requests and draft status problems in examination forms. Additionally, principals are advised to bring their computer operator with a laptop, enabling immediate verification and correction of submitted records with technical staff assistance.

Students have been explicitly instructed not to visit the university for this process. Those seeking draft corrections or subject amendments must submit a certified copy of their original application or examination form through their respective colleges.

Scrutiny Portal Reopened and ITEP Application Deadline Extended

In a separate development, CSJMU has reopened the online portal for scrutiny and challenge evaluation on the Samarth portal for the 2025-26 odd semester and previous semester examinations. This facility excludes LLB and BA LLB courses. Initially set to close on March 07, 2026, the deadline has been extended to March 10, 2026 following student requests, with applications accepted upon payment of the prescribed fee.

Concurrently, the Department of Education has announced that the online application process for the entrance examination for admission to ITEP B.Sc. B.Ed. and BA B.Ed. preparatory level programmes is ongoing via the National Testing Agency website. Interested candidates must submit their applications before the March 10 deadline, after which no further submissions will be entertained.

This comprehensive approach by CSJMU aims to streamline result declarations and address academic discrepancies efficiently, ensuring a smooth transition under the NEP framework while supporting student and institutional needs.
