The 66th graduation ceremony of the Coimbatore Government College of Education for Women took place on Friday, marking a significant milestone for the institution and its students. The event was graced by N Shenbagalakshmi, Joint Director of the Coimbatore Regional College, who served as the chief guest and presented degrees to the graduating students.
Degrees Awarded
At the ceremony, more than 80 students were awarded Bachelor of Education (BEd) degrees, while 15 students received Master of Education (MEd) degrees. The graduates were celebrated for their dedication and hard work in pursuing careers in education.
Chief Guest's Address
In her address, Shenbagalakshmi underscored the indispensable role of education in women's lives. She described education as a key tool that shapes not only women themselves but also their families and future generations of students. "A teacher, a book and a pen can transform society. Social progress follows when teachers excel in their profession," she stated, emphasizing the transformative power of education.
The ceremony was presided over by Principal S Akila, who highlighted the college's commitment to empowering women through quality education. The event concluded with a vote of thanks and a renewed sense of purpose among the graduates to contribute to society as educators.
