The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a firm warning to evaluators involved in the Class 10 and 12 board exam processes, threatening legal action for sharing confidential information on social media platforms. This announcement was made by officials on Monday, highlighting growing concerns over breaches in the integrity of the examination system.
Misleading Posts and Potential for Rumours
CBSE Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj stated that the board has observed certain individuals engaged in the evaluation process posting comments, opinions, and experiences on social media. Many of these posts are misleading and factually incorrect, with the potential to create confusion and spread rumours among stakeholders, including students, parents, and educators.
Bhardwaj emphasized that the evaluation process is strictly confidential and governed by rigorous protocols designed to maintain fairness and transparency. He explained that sharing any misleading information, experiences, or opinions related to evaluation on public platforms is strictly prohibited under board regulations.
Violation of Professional Conduct
The top official warned that any attempt to spread rumours or misrepresent facts on social media constitutes a violation of professional conduct and may invite disciplinary action, which could include legal measures.
