CBSE Launches Dedicated Dashboard for Principals to Oversee OSM Mock Evaluation
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has taken a significant step to enhance the efficiency of its Online System for Marking (OSM) by introducing a specialized dashboard exclusively for Principals and Heads of School. This new tool is designed to facilitate real-time monitoring of the mock evaluation process, ensuring that all teachers are adequately prepared for the upcoming main evaluations.
Streamlining Teacher Participation Through Advanced Monitoring
In an official notice, CBSE has mandated that all teachers responsible for Classes XI and XII must log into the OSM portal and complete a comprehensive practice session. To support this initiative, the board has developed the OSM dashboard, which allows school heads to track participation levels and address any login-related issues promptly. This proactive approach aims to prevent teachers from being excluded due to outdated or incorrect contact information in the OASIS database.
Key Features of the OSM Dashboard:
- Real-time display of the total number of evaluators assigned to the school.
- Detailed breakdown of teachers who have completed the practice session versus those who have logged in but not finished.
- Monitoring of answer books evaluated and identification of teachers who have not yet accessed the portal.
- An integrated link to update teacher details directly in OASIS, including email IDs and mobile numbers.
Enhanced Login Security and Data Correction Mechanisms
CBSE has implemented a dual verification system for teacher logins, sending credentials to registered email addresses and OTPs to mobile numbers listed in OASIS. However, some educators have encountered access problems due to incorrect or obsolete contact details. To mitigate this, the dashboard empowers Principals to correct such information efficiently.
Important Note: After updates are made through the dashboard, it may take up to six hours for the system to process the changes. Once completed, new login credentials will be dispatched to the revised email, and OTPs will be sent to the updated mobile number.
Mandatory Compliance for All Class 11 and 12 Teachers
CBSE has issued strict instructions to school heads, emphasizing the necessity for all teachers of Classes XI and XII to complete the mock evaluation without delay. Regular access to the dashboard is encouraged to monitor progress and ensure full compliance. The board highlights that timely participation in the practice session is crucial for teachers to gain familiarity with the OSM platform before the main evaluation period begins.
Schools are urged to take immediate action to avoid any disruptions and adhere to CBSE's directives, thereby ensuring a smooth and effective evaluation process for the academic year.
