Yogi Adityanath Inspects Maa Vindhyavasini University, Demands Timely Completion
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath of Uttar Pradesh conducted a comprehensive inspection of the Maa Vindhyavasini State University (MVSU) in Mirzapur on Tuesday, setting a firm deadline of May 31 for the completion of all construction work. During his visit, the CM emphasized the critical importance of this educational institution for the youth of the region and issued strict instructions to ensure quality and timeliness.
Focus on Employment-Oriented and Skill-Based Education
Adityanath directed the university administration to design and implement courses that are employment-oriented, innovative, and skill-based. He highlighted that this approach will directly benefit students from Mirzapur, Sonbhadra, and surrounding areas by enhancing their career prospects and aligning education with market demands. "This university is a temple of education," the CM stated, underscoring its role in fostering development.
The establishment of MVSU fulfills a long-standing demand for higher education infrastructure in the region, as noted by Adityanath. He warned against any laxity in construction, instructing the agency involved to prioritize both speed and quality under all circumstances. Additionally, directions have been issued to expedite the appointment process for Group C employees, ensuring the university is fully staffed and operational.
Environmental Initiatives and Campus Development
In a move to promote sustainability, Chief Minister Adityanath planted a Maulshree sapling on the university premises. He further instructed the administration to collaborate with the forest department during the upcoming monsoon season to procure a large number of saplings. A large-scale plantation drive is planned, involving teachers, students, and staff to green the campus and its surroundings, contributing to environmental conservation.

The inspection was attended by key officials and dignitaries, including MVSU Vice Chancellor Prof Shobha Gaur, UP Minister Ashish Patel, MLA Madihan Ramashankar Patel, Principal Secretary (Higher Education) Mahendra Agrawal, Divisional Commissioner Rajesh Prakash, and District Magistrate Pawan Kumar Gangwar. Their presence underscored the collective commitment to the university's success and regional educational advancement.
With the May 31 deadline now in place, the focus is on accelerating construction while maintaining high standards, ultimately aiming to provide quality, skill-based education to empower the youth of Uttar Pradesh.
