The Uttar Pradesh cabinet has approved the establishment of a new private university, Sardar Patel Apex University, in Mirzapur district. With this addition, the state now has a total of 53 private universities.
Details of the Approval
Higher Education Minister Yogendra Upadhyaya announced that the decision was taken under the provisions of the Uttar Pradesh Private Universities Act, 2019. He stated, "The Act ensures proper arrangements for the establishment, regulation and functioning of private universities."
Objectives and Benefits
The minister further added that the establishment of this university will create new opportunities for quality higher education in the state. It aims to provide youth with modern and employment-oriented education, thereby contributing to the overall development of the region.
This move is expected to boost educational infrastructure and offer more choices to students seeking higher education in Uttar Pradesh.
