The Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) has officially unveiled the comprehensive schedule for the Telangana Common Entrance Tests 2026 (TG CETs-2026). This crucial calendar provides a definitive roadmap for admissions into various professional courses for the academic year 2026–27, ending uncertainty for countless aspirants across the state.

For students targeting state-level entrance examinations, this early release of the schedule is a significant advantage. It allows candidates to strategically plan and align their study timelines, clearly understanding the sequence of exams and the overall testing window.

Exam Window: Computer-Based Tests from May to June

All computer-based tests (CBTs) will be conducted between May 4, 2026, and June 3, 2026. Examinations will be held at various centers spread across Telangana. The responsibility for conducting specific entrance tests has been assigned to different universities within the state.

The highly anticipated TG EAPCET will be conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad. The schedule is as follows: Agriculture and Pharmacy stream exams on May 4 and 5, 2026, followed by the Engineering stream exams on May 9, 10, and 11, 2026.

Key Dates for Education, Management, and Law Aspirants

The calendar outlines specific dates for a range of professional courses:

  • TG EDCET for Bachelor of Education admissions: May 12, 2026 (Conducted by Kakatiya University, Warangal).
  • TG ICET for MBA and MCA programmes: May 13 and 14, 2026 (Conducted by Mahatma Gandhi University, Nalgonda).
  • TG ECET for lateral entry into engineering and pharmacy: May 15, 2026 (Conducted by Osmania University, Hyderabad).
  • TG LAWCET for 3-year and 5-year LLB courses and TG PGLCET for LLM admissions: May 18, 2026 (Both conducted by Osmania University, Hyderabad).

Postgraduate and Physical Education Entrance Tests

The testing schedule extends into late May and early June for postgraduate and physical education courses.

JNTU Hyderabad will conduct the TG PGECET for ME, MTech, MPharm, and Pharm D (PB) courses from May 28 to May 31, 2026.

Furthermore, the TG PECET for BPED and UGDPED programmes, which includes physical efficiency and skill tests, will be organized by Satavahana University from May 31 to June 3, 2026.

TGCHE has clarified that detailed notifications regarding eligibility criteria, application procedures, and registration fees will be issued separately by the respective CET convening universities. The council has also requested electronic and print media to give wide publicity to this examination schedule to ensure maximum awareness among students.
