ABVP Launches 'Screen Time to Activity Time' Campaign Nationwide
The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) initiated its nationwide campaign 'Screen Time to Activity Time' from the University of Hyderabad. Virendra Singh Solanki, ABVP National General Secretary, addressed the gathering. He discussed the negative effects of excessive screen usage among students.
Solanki revealed that students typically spend 8 to 9 hours daily on mobile phones and digital devices. He urged young people to replace some of this screen time with outdoor, cultural, and social activities. This call aligns with Swami Vivekananda's message of purposeful living. Student union leaders participated actively, supporting the campaign's goal of holistic growth and balanced development.
Nagpur University Honors Swamiji with Traditional Ceremonies
Nagpur University marked the day with solemn traditional ceremonies. Dr Prashant Narnaware, Secretary to the Governor, and Manali Kshirsagar, Vice-Chancellor, garlanded portraits of Swami Vivekananda. Faculty and staff members attended the event.
