Punjab Governor Presides Over MRSPTU Convocation, Urges Students to Excel in Emerging Technologies

Bathinda witnessed a significant academic milestone as Punjab Governor and Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU) Chancellor Gulab Chand Kataria presided over the university's third convocation ceremony on Thursday. The event marked a proud moment for the institution, with a total of 184 degrees conferred to deserving students.

Degrees Awarded Across Academic Levels

The convocation saw degrees distributed across various academic tiers, reflecting the university's comprehensive educational offerings. Specifically, 115 undergraduate degrees were awarded, alongside 56 postgraduate degrees and 13 PhD degrees. This diverse distribution underscores MRSPTU's commitment to fostering talent at all levels of higher education.

In a notable achievement, female students secured a majority of the gold and silver medals during the ceremony, highlighting their academic excellence and dedication. Earlier in the proceedings, Vice Chancellor Prof Sanjeev Kumar Sharma presented the annual report, detailing the university's recent achievements and outlining its growth trajectory for the future.

Governor's Call for Nation-Building Through Technology

Addressing the gathering of graduates, faculty, and dignitaries, Governor Gulab Chand Kataria delivered an inspiring speech focused on the role of youth in national development. He urged students to actively contribute to nation-building by excelling in emerging and critical domains such as artificial intelligence, robotics, green energy, and space technology.
