MNNIT's Innovation Hub Hosts Nyaya-The Legal Internship 3.0 in Prayagraj

The Innovation and Incubation Hub MNNIT Foundation (IIHMF) successfully organized Nyaya-The Legal Internship 3.0 on Saturday in Prayagraj. This significant event was specifically designed for law interns who are currently pursuing LLB and BA LLB courses from a diverse range of colleges and universities across the entire country.

Collaborative Effort and Distinguished Speakers

The internship program was a collaborative initiative between IIHMF and NYAYA – The Legal Internship. It featured an impressive lineup of speakers who provided invaluable insights into the evolving landscape of the legal profession.

Ashok Mehta, the chief guest and keynote speaker, who serves as a senior advocate and additional advocate general of the Government of Uttar Pradesh, delivered a compelling address. He focused on the critical implementation of the National Education Policy-2020 (NEP-2020) within the realm of legal education. Mehta emphasized that the future of the legal profession is expanding far beyond traditional courtrooms.

He stated that lawyers will increasingly play a crucial role in policy-making, corporate governance, public administration, and social justice initiatives. This broader scope highlights the dynamic and interdisciplinary nature of modern legal practice.

Cybersecurity and the Digital Transformation of Law

The guest of honour, Prof. Anil Kumar Singh from the Department of Computer Science at MNNIT Allahabad, delivered an enlightening lecture on cybersecurity. He articulated that in today's digital age, issues such as data protection, privacy, and network security have become integral and unavoidable aspects of legal practice.

Prof. Singh's presentation underscored the necessity for future lawyers to possess a robust understanding of technology to effectively navigate and address these emerging challenges.

Law's Interconnection with Modern Sectors

Addressing the assembled gathering, Prof. Ravi Prakash Tiwari, the Director of IIHMF, provided further context on the contemporary relevance of law. He explained that legal frameworks are now deeply intertwined with startups, industry, technology, and governance.

This interconnection necessitates that aspiring legal professionals develop a multifaceted skill set to contribute effectively across these diverse sectors.
