KMCLU Greenlights Major Academic Expansion with Focus on Technology and Multidisciplinary Learning

In a significant move to bolster its educational framework, Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Language University (KMCLU) in Lucknow has approved a comprehensive array of new academic programs. This strategic expansion is designed to strengthen multidisciplinary learning, enhance research capabilities, and promote skill development among students.

New Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programs Approved

The decisions were finalized during the university's 25th academic council meeting. The newly approved courses span a wide spectrum of disciplines, reflecting a commitment to both traditional arts and cutting-edge sciences.

  • BA in Music (Vocal) and BA in Awadhi language.
  • Reintroduction of BSc and MSc in Home Science programs.
  • Technical programs including a BTech in Cyber Security, featuring specialized subjects taught by industry experts, and an MTech in Structural Engineering aligned with AICTE norms.
  • Postgraduate expansions with MSc programs in Zoology, Biotechnology, and Microbiology, alongside MA degrees in Sociology and Sanskrit.
  • New PhD programs in Law, Pharmacy, and Biotechnology to advance doctoral research.

AI Integration and Universal Certificate Program

Furthermore, the council has introduced a 30-hour certificate program titled 'AI for Everyone'. This value-added course will be available to all undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD students, aiming to equip them with foundational AI knowledge and prepare them for future technological landscapes.

Enhanced Research Support and Policy Updates

To foster a robust research environment, KMCLU has approved a new seminar policy. This policy provides financial support for university-level, national, and international seminars, covering travel allowances, pre-conference publication fees, and local hospitality. Faculty members will also receive periodic grants for participation in national and international conferences.

Additional decisions include aligning the B Pharma fourth-year syllabus with Pharmacy Council of India standards, initiating admissions for BPES and BPED courses, updating the consultancy policy, and launching certificate courses in the Awadhi language.

"These initiatives are designed to aid holistic education across all disciplines, ensuring our students are well-prepared for the demands of the modern world," stated Prof Ajay Taneja, Vice Chancellor of KMCLU.
