In an exclusive discussion, Prof Khan openly recognized that persistent delays in examinations and result declarations have been a major concern. Final-semester students are particularly affected, experiencing setbacks of up to four months, which hinders their pursuit of further education or timely employment opportunities.
To combat this issue decisively, the university will implement a strict enforcement of the academic calendar starting from the upcoming academic year. This initiative ensures that all examinations are concluded before May, with results being announced promptly and without unnecessary postponement.
Digital Transformation of the Examination System
A cornerstone of this reform is the complete digitization of the examination ecosystem. KU plans to deploy a centralized digital platform that will manage the entire process—from student applications and hall ticket distribution to the announcement of results. This technological overhaul is expected to drastically reduce manual interventions and minimize the need for students to physically visit administrative offices, thereby enhancing efficiency and convenience.
Holistic Development and Infrastructure Upgrades
Beyond academic streamlining, Karnatak University is placing a strong emphasis on the all-round development of its student body. Ambitious plans are underway to upgrade sports infrastructure, including modernizing badminton and tennis courts and refurbishing the swimming pool. These enhancements will be pursued through a public-private partnership model to ensure sustainable development.
