IIT Ropar and Indian Army Forge Historic Partnership for Defence Technology Education

In a landmark development for India's defence education sector, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Ropar has formalized a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the Indian Army to launch an exclusive M.Tech programme in Defence Technology. This pioneering initiative is designed specifically for officers of the Armoured Corps Centre & School (ACC&S), marking the first comprehensive defence technology partnership between any IIT in India and the armed forces.

Speaking at the signing ceremony in Patiala, Prof Rajeev Ahuja, Director of IIT Ropar, emphasized the transformative nature of this collaboration. "This collaboration marks a paradigm shift in how India approaches defence technology education," he stated.
