IIT Kanpur Hosts Expert Session on Global Research Funding and Fellowships
The PG Academics & Career Council (AnC) at the Students' Gymkhana of the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur organized an insightful and highly informative session titled "Global Research Opportunities: Fellowships, Grants & Collaborations" on campus. The session commenced with a formal welcome address delivered by Prof. Raghvendra Chaudhary, who serves as the Faculty Advisor of the PG Academics & Career Council. Vigyan Bharati's Role and the Swadeshi Science Movement
Prof. Sunil K. Misra, the general secretary of Vigyan Bharati (Brahmavart Prant), provided valuable context about the organization's history and mission. He highlighted the Swadeshi Science Movement, which was initiated in 1991 and ultimately led to the formation of Vigyan Bharati. Prof. Misra elaborated on the organization's extensive and influential network, which spans premier educational and research institutions across India, including the IITs, CSIR laboratories, numerous universities, and schools. This network plays a crucial role in fostering scientific collaboration and promoting research excellence at all levels.

The keynote address was delivered by Sanjeev Kumar Varshney, the former head of International Scientific Cooperation at the Department of Science and Technology.
