IIT-BHU 1976 Batch Announces Major Donation During Golden Jubilee Reunion

In a heartwarming display of gratitude and commitment, alumni of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), BHU Varanasi from the 1976 batch have pledged a substantial contribution of Rs 57 lakh towards institutional development. This significant announcement was made during their Golden Jubilee Reunion, a three-day event held from February 25 to 27, which brought together over 85 alumni from across India and abroad, along with their family members.

The donation, part of the 'Gurudakshina Project', is specifically aimed at supporting infrastructure development at the institute. A key component of this philanthropic effort includes the establishment of a virtual prototyping lab, designed to enhance academic and research capabilities. Addressing the gathering, Director Prof Amit Patra highlighted the rapid progress made by IIT-BHU over the past decade.
