IIM Ahmedabad Wraps Up Second Cluster of Final Placements for PGP 2026 Cohort

The prestigious Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM Ahmedabad) officially concluded the second cluster of its final placement process for the Post Graduate Programme (PGP) Class of 2026 on Friday, February 7, 2026. This significant phase attracted participation from 29 prominent firms spanning a wide array of sectors, demonstrating robust corporate interest in the institute's talent pool.

Structured Recruitment Across Six Diverse Cohorts

The recruitment activities for Cluster 2 were meticulously organized into six distinct cohorts to streamline the hiring process. These cohorts included:

  • Advertising and Media
  • Conglomerates
  • Consumer Goods
  • Consumer Services
  • Pharmaceuticals and Healthcare
  • Retail B2B and B2C

This structured approach ensured targeted engagement between students and companies within specific industry verticals.

Key Recruiters and Notable Participation Across Cohorts

The consumer goods cohort featured industry giants such as Hindustan Unilever and Procter & Gamble, with Berger Paints making its inaugural appearance in IIM Ahmedabad's final placements, marking a significant milestone for the company.

In the conglomerates cohort, heavyweight groups including the Aditya Birla Group, Reliance Group, and Tata Administrative Services actively participated. This cluster also welcomed new entrants Godrej and the Murugappa Group. Notably, the Essar Group distinguished itself by extending the highest number of offers within this cohort.

The consumer services sector saw strong representation with Airtel emerging as a leading recruiter, while the pharmaceuticals and healthcare cohort included established players like Bharat Serums and Sun Pharma, alongside debutant Leeford Healthcare.

Retail participation witnessed a notable increase this year, with emerging brands Dot & Key and Nykaa joining e-commerce titans Amazon and Flipkart in the retail B2B and B2C cohort, reflecting evolving market trends.

International Engagement and Placement Schedule

Cluster 2 also highlighted international recruitment interest, with firms such as DAMAC from Dubai and Fast Retailing from Tokyo extending offers to IIM Ahmedabad students, underscoring the global appeal of the institute's graduates.

The placement process continues with the third cluster scheduled for February 9, 2026. This follows the successful completion of the first cluster on February 3, where Boston Consulting Group emerged as the largest recruiter in the management consulting cohort, offering 33 positions alongside other prestigious firms like Alvarez & Marsal, Bain & Company, Kearney, and McKinsey & Company.

Comprehensive Placement Ecosystem

Prior to the final placements, IIM Ahmedabad conducted its PGP summer placements across three clusters, covering 25 cohorts. This preliminary phase successfully placed 410 students, with over 165 firms opening job descriptions for more than 230 roles, showcasing the institute's comprehensive and effective career development framework.
