Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU) held its Common Entrance Examination-2026 on Friday, June 26, across 10 examination centres in Amritsar. A total of 2,677 candidates sat for the entrance test, which is a key gateway for admission to various postgraduate and professional programmes.

Examination Details and Programmes Covered

The entrance exam was conducted for admission to a wide range of postgraduate and professional courses offered by the university's science and engineering departments. These included Master of Science programmes in Botany, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Food Technology, Human Genetics, Mathematics, Microbiology, Physics, and Zoology. Additionally, the exam covered courses in Agriculture, Pharmacy, Computer Engineering, Textile Processing Technology, Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Engineering, and Urban and Regional Planning.

Supervision and Conduct

The examination process was overseen by Prof Aman Mahajan, who served as the Coordinator, and Dr Sachin Kumar, the Deputy Coordinator. University officials and staff members played a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and orderly conduct of the examination across all centres.

Results and Counselling Schedule

The university administration announced that the results have been uploaded on the official university website and the admission portal. Candidates can access their results by logging in with their ID and password. The counselling schedule, prepared according to rank and category, has also been made available. According to Prof Aman Mahajan, counselling for admissions based on the entrance examination will commence on July 3 at Guru Nanak Bhawan on the university campus. Candidates have been advised to report on their allotted date and time with all original documents.
