BBAU Student Delegation Explores UPRTOU's Distance Learning Framework in Prayagraj
A significant academic exchange took place in Prayagraj on Friday as a student study tour group from Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU) in Lucknow visited Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tandon Open University (UPRTOU). The primary objective of this visit was to gain in-depth insights into UPRTOU's comprehensive academic activities and its innovative distance-learning system, which has been pivotal in expanding educational access across the region.

The visiting group comprised approximately 60 MSc students and research scholars from BBAU's esteemed School of Home Science, specifically the Department of Food and Nutrition. During the interaction, Vice-Chancellor Prof Satyakam of UPRTOU emphasized the vast scope and flexibility of distance education. He highlighted that students enrolled in conventional institutions like BBAU can seamlessly integrate into UPRTOU's job-oriented and knowledge-enhancing programmes, thereby broadening their academic and professional horizons.
Prof Satyakam also drew attention to the Uttar Pradesh government's transformative One District, One Product (ODOP) scheme, describing it as highly encouraging for research and entrepreneurship. He urged the students to take a keen interest in this initiative to diversify and expand their research work, aligning it with regional economic development goals.
