The Uttarakhand Board of Secondary Education (UBSE) has released comprehensive statistics regarding student participation, examination results, and pass percentages for both Class 10 and Class 12 examinations. This detailed data supplements the previously published result sheets.
Student Participation and Overall Results
For the High School (Class 10) examination, a total of 1,12,266 students registered, out of which 1,08,983 appeared for the exams, and 1,00,373 successfully passed. In the Intermediate (Class 12) examination, 1,02,986 students applied, and the board has provided corresponding figures.
Class 10 Pass Percentage and Gender Statistics
The overall pass percentage for High School examinations stood at 92.10 percent. Female students outperformed their male counterparts, achieving a pass rate of 96.07 percent compared to 88.03 percent for boys. Category-wise, institutional candidates recorded a pass percentage of 92.47 percent, while individual candidates achieved 65.05 percent.
In terms of performance levels, 7,935 students secured an honours pass by scoring above 75 percent marks. Division-wise results showed that 30,734 students earned first division, 46,708 passed in second division, and 14,986 obtained third division.
Intermediate Examination Results and Gender Disparity
The pass percentage for the Intermediate examination was approximately 85.11 percent. Once again, female students outperformed males, with a pass rate of 88.09 percent compared to 81.93 percent for boys. This gender disparity has been a notable statistical trend in both High School and Intermediate examinations this year.
District-Wise Performance
Bageshwar district secured the top position in both examinations, achieving a pass percentage of 94.81 percent in Class 12 and 96.98 percent in Class 10.
Meritorious Students and Year-on-Year Comparison
Compared to the previous year, the overall result improved by 1.33 percent. A total of 207 meritorious students were included in the state merit list. In Class 10, Akshat Gopal topped with 98.20 percent marks. In Class 12, Geetika Pant and Sushila Mendiratta shared the first position, each scoring 98 percent.
The board also released figures for the High School Improvement Exam, which recorded a pass percentage of 68.67 percent.
