The results of the Telangana Diploma in Elementary Education Common Entrance Test (DEECET) 2026 were announced on Saturday. Out of 25,054 candidates who appeared for the examination, 21,137 qualified, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 84.3%.
Exam Details and Medium-Wise Performance
The entrance test was conducted on May 21 for admissions into the two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) and Diploma in Pre-School Education (DPSE) courses for the academic year 2026-28. Among the different mediums, English medium recorded the highest success rate. Of the 14,414 candidates who took the exam in English medium, 12,784 qualified, translating to an 88.6% pass percentage. Telugu medium registered an 82.3% pass rate, with 7,918 out of 9,612 candidates qualifying. Urdu medium recorded a 42.3% pass percentage, with 435 out of 1,028 candidates clearing the exam.
Top Rankers
The top rankers in each medium are as follows: B Anandu topped in Telugu medium with 76 marks, Javvaji Shiva Nageshwar secured the top position in English medium with 83 marks, and Danish Ahmed achieved the highest score in Urdu medium with 66 marks.
Certificate Verification and Web Options
Certificate verification will be conducted at 10 Government District Institutes of Education and Training (DIETs) from June 2 to June 5. Following this, candidates can choose web options from June 6 to June 8. Candidates are advised to check the official website for further updates and details regarding the admission process.
