Concerns Over On Screen Marking Evaluation System

Meanwhile, officials from several schools expressed concern over the implementation of the On Screen Marking evaluation system introduced by CBSE this year. According to school authorities, the new evaluation process may have contributed to a reduction in marks secured by students, particularly in subjects such as science and mathematics. "The number of students securing A1 grades in all subjects has come down considerably. Many students feel they have not received the expected marks, especially in science and mathematics," said the principal of a prominent school in the city. School authorities also noted that a large number of students are considering applying for re-evaluation of answer scripts. "The matter will be discussed among school managements in the coming days to better understand the situation," the principal added.
