Congress MLC Yathindra Siddaramaiah on Saturday emphasized the critical importance of providing effective quality coaching classes for students from Other Backward Classes (OBC) communities to help them successfully clear competitive examinations. He made these remarks while inspecting the ongoing construction of a dedicated competitive exam training centre for OBC students, being developed by the Kaginele Kanaka Gurupeeth at Vijayanagar III Stage in Mysuru.
Key Details of the Coaching Centre
The MLC noted that the establishment of this centre was one of the primary ambitions of Kaginele Kanaka Gurupeeth pontiff Shivanandapuri Swami. Recognizing the financial burden on OBC students who often have to travel to cities like Hyderabad, Delhi, and Bengaluru for affordable coaching, the seer initiated the construction of this local coaching centre in Mysuru to make quality preparation accessible.
Project Timeline and Assurance
During the inspection, the contractor responsible for the construction assured Yathindra Siddaramaiah that the building would be completed within four months. Once ready, the centre will be opened for students, providing a much-needed facility in the region.
Yathindra Siddaramaiah further revealed that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is keenly interested in the progress of this centre and has been closely monitoring its development. The MLC expressed confidence that the centre would significantly benefit OBC students by offering them a conducive environment and expert guidance to crack competitive exams without the need to relocate to expensive metropolitan cities.
The initiative is seen as a major step toward empowering OBC communities through education and equal opportunities in competitive arenas.
