The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has issued a crucial update for candidates awaiting the final stage of the Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM) recruitment process. The commission has confirmed the schedule and vital instructions for the upcoming Health Worker (Female) main examination.
Main Exam Date and Post Details Finalised
As per the official notice under Advertisement Number 11-Examination/2024, the UPSSSC ANM main examination is now scheduled to be held on January 11, 2026. The test will be conducted from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon sharp. This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 5,272 vacant posts under the Directorate General of Family Welfare, Uttar Pradesh, based in Lucknow.
Out of the total vacancies, a significant majority, 4,892 posts, are for General Selection. The remaining 380 posts are earmarked for Special Selection. This announcement is specifically for candidates who have successfully cleared the preliminary stages of the selection process.
Examination Districts and Access Procedure
The commission has designated three districts across Uttar Pradesh as the examination centres for this major recruitment test. The main exam will be conducted in Bareilly, Lucknow, and Jhansi.
Candidates can now check their allotted examination district in advance through the official UPSSSC website, upsssc.gov.in. To access this information, applicants must visit the 'Examination' section on the homepage and log in using their credentials.
However, UPSSSC has made it clear that viewing the examination district details is contingent upon one important step. Candidates must first deposit the prescribed fee for the main examination. The facility to check the allotted district will remain inaccessible until the fee payment is successfully completed. This information is also available through the commission's authorised mobile application for on-the-go access.
Admit Card and Important Instructions
The commission has clarified a critical point to avoid confusion among applicants. The advance information about the examination district is not the admit card. The hall tickets for the main examination will be issued and released separately on the official website at a later date, closer to the exam.
All candidates must carry a valid admit card to be allowed entry into the examination hall. UPSSSC has advised all shortlisted candidates to regularly monitor the official website, upsssc.gov.in, for the latest updates regarding the release of admit cards and any further instructions related to the examination day protocol.
This recruitment for Health Worker (Female) or ANM positions is a significant opportunity for candidates in Uttar Pradesh seeking a stable career in the public health sector. With over five thousand posts on offer, aspirants are urged to complete all formalities promptly and intensify their preparations for the decisive main examination scheduled for early 2026.
