SSC CHSL 2025 Tier-I Results Out, 39,901 Qualify

SSC Announces CHSL 2025 Tier-I Results with Nearly 40,000 Qualifiers

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially declared the results for the Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination (CHSL) 2025 Tier-I, marking a significant milestone in the recruitment process. A total of 39,901 candidates have successfully qualified to advance to the next stage, bringing them one step closer to securing government positions.

Examination Details and Normalization Process

The computer-based Tier-I examination was conducted across the nation from November 12 to November 30, 2025, in multiple shifts to accommodate the large number of applicants. To ensure fairness and parity among candidates who appeared in different sessions, SSC officials implemented a rigorous normalization process using a prescribed statistical formula. This method adjusts scores to account for variations in difficulty levels across shifts, maintaining the integrity of the selection process.

Category-Wise Minimum Qualifying Marks and Cut-Offs

The commission has established clear minimum qualifying marks for various categories, which candidates must meet to proceed. For the general category, the threshold is set at 30%, while Other Backward Classes (OBC) and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) candidates require 25%. Candidates belonging to other reserved categories need to achieve 20% to qualify.

Specific cut-off marks for different posts have been detailed as follows:

  • LDC/JSA and Clerk-cum-Typist Posts: The general category cut-off is 144.25858 marks, with OBC at 143.83055 marks and EWS at 141.42492 marks. In this category, 37,520 candidates have been shortlisted for Tier-II.
  • Data Entry Operator (DEO) Science Stream: The general category cut-off stands at 169.54438 marks, resulting in 614 candidates qualifying.
  • DEO Posts in Other Streams: The general cut-off is 165.26551 marks, with 1,767 candidates declared successful.

Discrepancies and Provisional Appearances

In a minor setback, the results of two candidates have been cancelled due to debarment issues, while 10 candidates have had their results withheld because of court-related and other pending matters. However, in a provisional measure, these 10 candidates have been permitted to appear in the Tier-II examination, subject to the resolution of their cases.

Next Steps and Future Schedule

The SSC has confirmed that the schedule for the Tier-II examination will be announced shortly. Candidates are advised to regularly check the official SSC website for updates and detailed notifications regarding the next phase of the recruitment process. This announcement follows the commission's commitment to transparency and timely communication with aspirants.

With nearly 40,000 candidates moving forward, the CHSL 2025 recruitment drive continues to be a highly competitive and closely watched opportunity for those seeking government employment in India.
