About the Scholarship

Operated through the ONGC Foundation, the scheme aims to support Indian citizens who are currently studying or planning to enroll in the first year of full-time professional courses such as Engineering, MBBS, MBA, Geology, and Geophysics. A total of 2,000 scholarships will be awarded to eligible candidates.

Eligibility Criteria and Quota

To apply, candidates must have secured a minimum of 60 marks or a 6.0 CGPA in their last qualifying examination. The maximum age limit is 30 years. Annual family income must not exceed Rs 4.5 lakh for SC/ST candidates and Rs 2 lakh for OBC/GEN/EWS categories. Half of the scholarships are reserved for female students.

Courses Offered and Application Process

The scholarship is available for courses including Engineering, MBBS, MBA, Geology, and Geophysics. Eligible applicants must register and apply through the National Scholarship Portal at scholarships.gov.in. Required documents include academic records, income proof, and other necessary paperwork. Only students admitted to the first year of these courses can apply.

Financial Assistance and Renewal

Each selected scholar will receive Rs 48,000 per year, disbursed annually via direct bank transfer. The scholarship is renewable each year provided the student maintains satisfactory academic performance with at least 60 marks or equivalent.
