The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) has reopened the application process for the Jharkhand Jail Warder (Kakshpal) Recruitment 2026. The online application window for JKCE-2025 (Advertisement No. 07/2025) will now remain open until 19 June 2026.
Reason for Reopening
This update comes after a court hearing related to the upper age limit case. Following the court order issued on 14 May, the commission revised the schedule and allowed candidates another opportunity to apply for the recruitment process.
Important Dates
The last date for fee payment and printing the application form is 21 June 2026. After this, the application correction window will be open from 22 to 24 June 2026.
Vacancy Details
The recruitment drive is being conducted for a total of 1733 posts. Out of these, 1634 posts are for male candidates and 64 for female candidates.
Eligibility Criteria
As per the notification, candidates must have passed Class 10 from a recognised board to apply for the post. The age limit is set between 18 and 25 years.
Apart from this, male candidates must have a minimum height of 160 cm, while SC and ST male candidates must be at least 155 cm tall. For female candidates, the minimum height requirement is 148 cm.
Selection Process
The selection process will include a physical efficiency test, written examination, and medical test. The physical test will be qualifying in nature.
Candidates who clear the physical test will move to the written examination stage. The written exam will be conducted in offline mode and will include three papers covering language, general knowledge, general science, and mathematics.
