ICAI Announces Revised Schedule for CA Intermediate May 2026 Examinations
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has officially revised the timetable for the upcoming Chartered Accountants Intermediate Examination scheduled for May 2026. New Exam Dates and Timings
According to the revised announcement, the CA Intermediate exams will now commence from May 5, 2026, instead of the previously scheduled date of May 3, 2026. The examinations will continue to be conducted in a single shift from 2 PM to 5 PM (Indian Standard Time) across all examination centers in India as well as at overseas locations.
The detailed revised schedule for the CA Intermediate May 2026 examinations has been released by ICAI. The exams will be administered according to the existing syllabus that was notified under Regulation 28F of the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988.
Group-Wise Examination Schedule
The Group I examinations are now scheduled to take place on the following dates:
- May 5, 2026
- May 7, 2026
- May 9, 2026
Meanwhile, the Group II examinations have been set for:
- May 11, 2026
- May 13, 2026
- May 15, 2026
All these examinations will be held in the single shift from 2 PM to 5 PM (IST), maintaining consistency with previous examination patterns.
No Changes to Other CA Examinations
ICAI has provided important clarification regarding the scope of this rescheduling. The adjustment applies exclusively to the Intermediate examination. The schedules for all other Chartered Accountants examinations remain completely unchanged from the earlier notification that was issued on December 12, 2025.
The examinations that will proceed as originally planned include:
- CA Foundation Examination
- CA Final Examination
- Post Qualification Course (PQC - INTT AT)
