Ahmedabad: AICC Gujarat in charge Mukul Wasnik on Sunday launched “On the Threshold of Career: What After 12th?”, a career guidance booklet that the party’s media convener Manish Doshi has been publishing for the past 21 years.
Event Highlights
Speaking at the event, Wasnik and GPCC president Amit Chavda said the booklet has helped thousands of students from poor and middle-class families in border and rural areas of Gujarat over the past two decades. The booklet aims to provide comprehensive guidance to students who are at a crucial juncture in their academic journey.
Content of the Booklet
Doshi said the booklet, available in Gujarati and English, offers information on courses in science, arts and commerce streams and the skills required to pursue specific careers. It also includes details on colleges, course availability, seat intake, government scholarships, and the procedure for obtaining education loans. The booklet serves as a one-stop resource for students seeking clarity on their future prospects.
Impact and Reach
Over the years, the booklet has become a trusted guide for students and parents alike, especially those from underprivileged backgrounds who may not have easy access to career counseling. The initiative has been widely appreciated for its role in bridging the information gap and empowering students to make informed decisions about their careers.
