How to Download UPTET Admit Card 2026
To download the admit card, candidates need to visit the official portal and enter their registration number and date of birth. The admit card contains essential details such as the candidate's name, photograph, signature, exam date, time, and venue. It is mandatory to carry a printed copy of the admit card to the examination hall along with a valid photo ID.
Exam Pattern and Selection Process
The UPTET 2026 will be conducted in two papers: Paper 1 for candidates aspiring to teach classes 1 to 5, and Paper 2 for those aiming to teach classes 6 to 8. Each paper will consist of 150 multiple-choice questions, carrying 1 mark each, for a total of 150 marks. The duration of the exam is 2 hours and 30 minutes. There is no negative marking.
Paper 1 includes subjects such as Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies. Paper 2 covers Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, and two subject-specific sections chosen by the candidate (e.g., Mathematics and Science, Social Studies, etc.).
The selection process for UPTET is based solely on the marks obtained in the written exam. Candidates who qualify the test will be awarded a certificate, which is valid for a lifetime as per the latest government guidelines. This certificate is mandatory for recruitment as a primary or upper primary teacher in Uttar Pradesh.
