UP TGT Exam Held, Nine Impersonators Arrested

Prayagraj: The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission conducted the written examination for Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) across the state on Wednesday. The exam was held in two shifts at multiple centres, with strict monitoring from an AI-integrated control room.

Exam Centres and Subjects

The first shift took place at 514 examination centres for four subjects: Social Science, Physical Education, Science, and Urdu. The second shift was conducted at 508 centres for Hindi, Mathematics, Agriculture, and Music Vocal. Officials confirmed that the written test for all eight subjects was successfully held across 36 districts.

Monitoring and Impersonation Cases

A central AI Integrated Control Command Room was set up at the Commission to monitor all exam centres closely. During the first shift, impersonators were caught in Lucknow (two), Bareilly (two), Chitrakoot (two), Jaunpur (one), and Mirzapur (one). In the second shift, two dummy candidates were caught in Lucknow and one in Hathras.

Of the nine fake candidates, seven were arrested immediately by local police, while two fled from the centres. Legal action is underway against all involved.

Candidate Statistics

A total of 2,21,489 candidates appeared for the exam. Among them, 45.41% were female and 52.42% were male. The commission ensured a smooth conduct of the examination with robust security measures.
