The University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) for June 2026 will be conducted at six examination centres in Ranchi from June 22 to June 30. The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the admit cards for candidates on Wednesday, marking a crucial step in the examination process.
Security Measures and Magistrates Deployed
To ensure a fair and malpractice-free examination environment, Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri has issued orders for the deployment of magistrates, police forces, and other officers at all examination venues. This move aims to maintain law and order during the test period.
Prohibitory Orders Issued
Sub-Divisional Magistrate Kumar Rajat has implemented prohibitory orders under Section 144 of the CrPC within a 200-metre radius of all exam centres. These orders will be effective daily from 6 am to 9 pm throughout the examination schedule from June 22 to 30. The restrictions include:
- Ban on assemblies of five or more people at any single location
- Prohibition on carrying weapons and firearms
- Restriction on using sound amplification devices
- Ban on organising public meetings within the specified zone
Candidates are advised to check their admit cards for centre details and report to their respective venues on time. Stay updated with the latest Ranchi news by downloading the TOI App.
