The Telangana Board of Intermediate Education (TG BIE) has announced a revision to the Intermediate Public Examinations (IPE) 2026 timetable for second-year students. This change comes after the state government officially declared March 3, 2026, as a public holiday for the Holi festival.
Revised Exam Dates: What Has Changed?
In light of the state holiday, the board has rescheduled three specific second-year papers. Mathematics Paper IIA, Botany Paper II, and Political Science Paper II will now be held on March 4, 2026. These exams were originally slated for March 3, 2026. All other examination dates for the TS Inter 2026 session remain unaffected and will proceed as per the previously announced schedule.
TG BIE Secretary S Krishna Aditya confirmed the adjustment, stating that the decision was made solely in response to the government's holiday notification. He emphasized that only the exams clashing with the Holi celebration have been moved.
Key Details of the TS Inter 2026 Schedule
The overall timeline for the Intermediate Public Examinations 2026 stays unchanged. The first-year exams will begin on February 25, 2026, with the Second Language Paper I. Second-year students will start their theory exams a day later on February 26, 2026, with the Second Language Paper II.
Meanwhile, practical examinations for both General and Vocational streams are scheduled to be conducted between February 2 and February 21, 2026. These will be held in two daily sessions:
- Morning Session: 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon
- Afternoon Session: 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Special attention is given to English practicals, which are set for January 21, 2026 (1st year) and January 22, 2026 (2nd year). The board has also made provisions for students whose practical exams might clash with JEE Main 2026, promising to provide alternative slots for them.
Admit Cards and Important Instructions
Hall tickets for the TS Inter 2026 examinations are expected to be released approximately two weeks before the commencement of the tests. Students must download their admit cards from the official website, tgbie.cgg.gov.in, using their hall ticket number. Carrying a physical printout of the hall ticket to the exam centre is mandatory for entry.
Authorities have advised all Intermediate students to regularly check the Telangana Board's official portal for any further updates or notifications regarding the examination schedule and hall ticket release. They should also confirm their practical exam batch timings with their respective colleges to avoid any last-minute confusion.
