Key Dates and Theory Exam Schedule

For first-year students, the written tests will begin on February 25, 2026, and conclude on March 17, 2026. Practical Examinations and Critical JEE Main Provision
A significant part of the announcement details the practical examination schedule. The IPE 2026 practicals for most subjects are slated to be conducted between February 2 and February 21, 2026, with no break on Sundays. These exams will run in two daily sessions: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
In a major relief for engineering aspirants, the TGBIE has explicitly stated that it will make special provisions or alternative arrangements for candidates whose Intermediate practical exam dates clash with the JEE Main 2026 schedule. English practicals have a separate schedule, with first-year students appearing on January 21, 2026, and second-year students on January 22, 2026.
Additional Exams and Hall Ticket Information
The board has also scheduled two one-day examinations. The Ethics and Human Values exam for backlog students is on January 23, 2026 (10:00 AM - 1:00 PM). The Environmental Education exam will follow on January 24, 2026, during the same timings.
