This recruitment drive aims to fill approximately 731 vacancies across various ministries, departments, organisations, and attached and subordinate offices of the Government of India. Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination from a recognised board or university by August 1, 2026. Additionally, only candidates possessing stenography skills will be eligible to appear for the examination.
Age Limit
For Grade C posts: minimum age 18 years, maximum age 30 years. For Grade D posts: minimum age 18 years, maximum age 27 years. Age will be calculated as on August 1, 2026. Age relaxation is applicable for SC, ST, OBC, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), and ex-servicemen as per government norms.
One Time Registration (OTR) Required
Candidates must complete One Time Registration (OTR) on the new SSC portal before filling out the application form. Registrations made on the old platform will not be valid for this recruitment. The Commission also recommends using Aadhaar-based authentication to simplify the verification process during the examination.
Selection Process
The examination will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode as an open competitive examination. After the final results are announced, document verification will be performed by the concerned departments. Candidates must produce original certificates, mark sheets, and educational qualification proof during verification. Failure to do so may lead to cancellation of candidature.
