Security Guard's Daughter Tops Chatra Board Exams with 97%

In an inspiring tale of determination and hard work, Nisha Kumari, the daughter of a security guard, has emerged as the district topper in Chatra by securing an impressive 97 percent in the Class X board examinations. The results were announced by the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) on Thursday.

Humble Background, Stellar Achievement

Nisha, a resident of Kashi Mahua Tola in Potam village under Hedum panchayat of Lawalong block, has brought immense pride and joy not only to her family but to the entire district, officials said. Her father, Pramod Sahu, works as a night guard at the model school in the block headquarters. To support the family, he also sells vegetables. Despite limited financial resources, he ensured that his daughter's education was never compromised.

Speaking about her achievement, Pramod Sahu said, "Though I don't earn much, we try to ensure that my daughter doesn't face problems in pursuing her studies. Credit for her success goes to her hard work. We didn't expect she would secure the highest marks in the whole district."

Celebrations in the Village

As soon as the news of Nisha's success spread, a wave of happiness swept through the area. Family members, villagers, and well-wishers gathered at her home on Thursday night to congratulate her. Nisha credited her success to her parents, teachers, and mentors.

She said, "I mostly studied on my own besides what was taught at the school. I want to become an engineer."

Another Success Story from Bokaro

A similar success story has emerged from Bokaro, where the son of an electrician became the district topper by securing 97.6 percent. Sonu Kumar, a resident of Telo village and a student of Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir, credited his success to the relentless struggles of his father, Bhuvneshwar Mahto.

Mahto runs a repair shop for electrical goods in the village, while Sonu's mother, Anita Devi, is a homemaker. Sonu said he focused on studies, initially devoting four to five hours daily, which increased to nearly eight hours during the final months. "For clearing doubts, I occasionally turned to online tutorials. I am happy with my performance," he added.

These stories of perseverance and academic excellence serve as an inspiration for many, proving that determination and hard work can overcome any obstacle.
