RBSE Class 10, 12 Board Exam Dates 2025: Over 19 Lakh Students to Write from February
RBSE Class 10, 12 Board Exam Schedule Released

The Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) has officially unveiled the examination timetable for the upcoming Class 10 and Class 12 board exams, setting a significant precedent. For the first time, all state board examinations will kick off in the month of February, a strategic shift aimed at ensuring timely results and subsequent college admissions for lakhs of students.

Key Dates and Exam Schedule for 2025

RBSE Secretary Gajendra Singh Rathore detailed the crucial dates. The Class 10 (Secondary) examinations are scheduled to commence on February 12, 2025, with the compulsory English paper. This first phase will conclude on February 24 with the Mathematics exam.

For Class 12 (Senior Secondary) students, the academic marathon begins a day later. The exams start with English on February 13 and will run until March 10, ending with the Hindi Literature paper.

In a parallel schedule, examinations for vocational courses will also be held. The Secondary Occupational Certificate course tests are set from February 12 to February 28. Meanwhile, the Senior Secondary Occupational and Upadhyaya examinations will span from February 12 to March 11.

All examinations will be conducted in a single morning shift, from 8:30 AM to 11:45 AM. The board has emphasized that the complete date sheet and official guidelines are available for students on the RBSE website.

Massive Participation and Special Arrangements

This academic year witnesses massive participation, with nearly 19.86 lakh (1.986 million) students across Rajasthan registered to appear for these pivotal examinations. Recognizing the need for inclusivity, Secretary Rathore confirmed that the board has made special provisions for visually impaired candidates. Detailed instructions regarding these arrangements have been dispatched to all affiliated schools to ensure a smooth experience for every student.

Enhanced Security and Monitoring for Fair Conduct

To guarantee the integrity and smooth execution of the exams, the RBSE has implemented a multi-layered security protocol. In a move to prevent paper leaks, question papers will be securely stored in police stations that are directly linked to the examination centres.

The monitoring framework is equally robust. The board has deployed a large contingent of officials, including special flying squads, to conduct surprise checks and oversee the examination process across the state. A central control room at the RBSE headquarters in Ajmer will operate 24/7 to address any issues promptly. Additionally, district-level control rooms will be activated and will function under the direct supervision of the respective District Education Officers.

Earlier Results for Timely Admissions

The decision to advance the entire examination schedule to February is a strategic one with a clear student-centric benefit. Traditionally, RBSE exams were held in March, with results declared in May or June, often causing delays in university admissions.

By concluding the main exams by mid-March, the board is now working towards announcing the results much earlier. The target is to declare the RBSE Class 10 and Class 12 results by early May. This revised timeline is expected to provide students with a crucial head start, allowing them to apply for higher education courses without the anxiety of delayed scorecards, thereby streamlining their academic progression.
