The National Testing Agency has deferred the release of NEET UG 2026 admit cards. According to a notice on its official X account, hall tickets will now be available to all candidates by 10 AM on Monday, April 27. This update comes just a week before the May 3 medical entrance examination, changing earlier expectations that admit cards would be released today.
Revised Admit Card Schedule
In its message, the NTA confirmed that NEET admit cards would be accessible to all registered aspirants by April 27 at 10 AM. The examination date and timings remain unchanged: NEET UG will take place from 2 PM to 5 PM in a single shift. The agency has not indicated any changes to examination centres, reporting arrangements, or other candidate instructions. The postponement applies only to the timing of admit card availability.
Advice for Candidates
Alongside the announcement, the NTA urged candidates to use the last Sunday before the exam for practice tests or concept revision. The advisory also recommended staying calm and hydrated as final preparations continue. Lakhs of students are preparing for this national-level undergraduate medical entrance exam, which governs admissions to MBBS, BDS, and allied medical courses.
Details on the Hall Ticket
Once released, the admit card will include candidate details such as name, roll number, examination centre, reporting time, centre code, and address. Candidates must carry a printed copy of the hall ticket along with valid government ID and passport-sized photographs to the exam centre. The admit card will be available online only through official websites like neet.nta.nic.in and nta.ac.in. Candidates can access it using their application number and password or date of birth.
Exam Schedule Unchanged
Despite the deferment, the NEET UG 2026 exam schedule remains fixed for May 3. The test will consist of 180 compulsory questions worth a total of 720 marks across Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Candidates are reminded to follow only official channels for updates, as the agency has repeatedly warned against misinformation and unverified online claims.
