NEET Re-test on June 21 to Be Fair and Well-Organised

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has assured that the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) re-test, scheduled for June 21, will be conducted in a fair and well-organised manner. He made the statement on Thursday, emphasising the government's commitment to maintaining the integrity of the examination process.

In a press briefing, Pradhan said, 'The NEET re-test on June 21 will be conducted in a fair and well-organised manner. I also appeal to all sections of society to extend their cooperation.' He urged students, parents, and educational institutions to support the smooth conduct of the exam.

The re-test was announced after irregularities were reported in the original NEET exam held earlier this year. The Ministry of Education has taken strict measures to ensure transparency and prevent any malpractice. Additional security protocols and monitoring mechanisms will be implemented at all test centres.

Pradhan highlighted that the National Testing Agency (NTA) has been instructed to adhere to the highest standards of fairness. 'We are committed to providing a level playing field for all candidates,' he added.

The decision for a re-test has been met with mixed reactions. While some students appreciate the move to ensure fairness, others have expressed concerns about the additional stress and logistics. The ministry has assured that all necessary arrangements, including travel and accommodation support for candidates from remote areas, are being made.

Authorities have also set up helplines and online portals for queries and grievances. The exam will be held across multiple centres nationwide, with strict invigilation to prevent cheating. The results are expected to be announced within two weeks after the test.

Pradhan concluded by thanking the public for their understanding and cooperation, reiterating that the government's primary goal is to uphold the credibility of the examination system.
