The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has announced the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) results for 2026, revealing an overall pass percentage of 89.79 per cent. The results highlight significant regional disparities, with some divisions outperforming others by a considerable margin.

Top and Bottom Performing Divisions

Latur and Konkan have emerged as the best-performing divisions this year, both recording an impressive pass percentage of 94.84 per cent. These two regions share the top rank, showcasing exceptional academic outcomes. On the other end of the spectrum, Nagpur has recorded the lowest pass percentage at 86.67 per cent, placing it at the bottom among all divisions. The gap of over 8 percentage points between the top and lowest-performing regions underscores the disparities in educational achievement across the state.

Division-Wise Performance Breakdown

Among other divisions, Pune reported a strong pass rate of 92.34 per cent, securing the second position. Amravati followed with 90.22 per cent, while Nashik recorded 90.67 per cent. Mumbai stood at 90.06 per cent, and Kolhapur reported 91.79 per cent. Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar posted 88.68 per cent, placing it second from the bottom.

Students can check and download their Class 12 marksheet using the following official websites: mahresult.nic.in, mahahsscboard.in, or hscresult.mkcl.org. Follow these steps:

  1. Visit any of the official websites.
  2. Click on the link for “HSC Examination February 2026 Result”.
  3. Enter your Seat Number and Mother’s First Name (if not available, enter “XXX”).
  4. Click on “View Result”.
  5. Your result will appear on the screen.
  6. Download or print the marksheet for future use.

Students can also access their digital marksheet through DigiLocker and the UMANG app by logging in with their registered details. Additionally, results can be checked via SMS services by sending the seat number to designated numbers.
