Kerala DHSE postpones Plus One results to July 15 due to Gulf exam delays
Kerala DHSE postpones Plus One results to July 15

The Directorate of Higher Secondary Education (DHSE) in Kerala has officially postponed the declaration of the First-Year Higher Secondary Examination (Plus One) results. Originally scheduled for announcement on June 10, 2026, the results will now be published on July 15, 2026.

Reason for the Delay

The revised schedule was communicated through a circular issued by the Office of the Director of General Education, Higher Secondary Section, Thiruvananthapuram. The notification, signed by Joint Director Dr. K. Manickaraj, cited circumstances affecting examinations conducted outside India as the primary reason for the delay. Specifically, the prevailing war situation in the Middle East led to the relocation of examination centres in Gulf countries, disrupting the conduct of scheduled exams. As a result, certain examination sessions in Gulf centres had to be rescheduled, requiring adjustments to the overall assessment timeline.

Impact on Students

This postponement affects approximately 4,00,000 students enrolled in Science, Commerce, and Humanities streams across the state. Candidates have been eagerly awaiting their scorecards after completing the examination process. The main phase of the First-Year Higher Secondary Examinations was conducted from March 5 to March 27, 2026. However, pending examinations in Gulf centres have delayed the subsequent stages of evaluation and result preparation.

Evaluation Process

DHSE officials have indicated that answer scripts from Gulf examination centres must be integrated into the evaluation process before final result tabulation can be completed. The assessment, verification, and compilation of marks will continue after the remaining examinations conclude. This postponement follows an earlier announcement that had fixed June 10, 2026, as the result date. In the previous academic cycle, the Plus One examination results were declared on June 2, 2025.

Result Access and Post-Result Procedures

Students will be able to access their marks on July 15 using their Examination Registration Number and Date of Birth. The results will be made available through official government portals, KITE Kerala platforms, PRD Live, the Saphalam KITE mobile application, and DigiLocker. Under DHSE regulations, students must secure at least 35 per cent marks in each subject and in aggregate to qualify for promotion to Plus Two. After the declaration of results, applications for revaluation and answer sheet scrutiny will be accepted through the designated post-result window.
