The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) will declare the Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2026 results on June 6. Medical Education Minister and KEA Chairman Dr Sharan Prakash Patil will announce the results at a press conference scheduled for 12 noon. Around 3.3 lakh candidates appeared for the examination conducted between April 22 and April 24.
Result Access Details
Candidates will be able to access their results online from 2 PM through the official KEA portals. According to KEA, candidates can check their results through the designated official websites after 2 PM. Students will be required to use their registration details and other login credentials to access and download their scorecards. The authority has advised candidates to keep their hall ticket numbers and login information ready to avoid delays while accessing results. Along with individual scorecards, rank-related details are also expected to be made available.
Delay Linked to Practical Examination and Re-Test
The result process was completed after the conclusion of the Agriculture and Veterinary Practical Examination at the Hiriyur centre. KEA had earlier indicated that final result preparation would proceed only after the practical examination schedule was completed. The timeline was also influenced by a re-examination conducted at Hiriyur on May 24 following reports of malpractice. Officials stated that evaluation and result compilation would continue after the completion of the re-test process.
Counselling Process Expected Next
Following the declaration of results, attention will shift to the admission process. KEA is expected to begin counselling activities soon after the publication of ranks and scorecards. The counselling process is likely to include option entry, mock allotment, seat allotment and admission confirmation stages. During option entry, candidates will be required to submit their preferred colleges and courses in order of priority. The mock allotment phase will allow students to assess how their choices may influence seat allocation before the final allotment rounds begin.
Additional Student Support Measures
KEA has also provided opportunities for pending document verification and introduced a secure login facility for CBSE and ICSE students to facilitate retrieval of Class 12 marks. Candidates have been advised to regularly monitor official KEA websites for updates related to scorecards, rank lists, counselling schedules, document verification, option entry and seat allotment procedures.
