Karnataka students have once again demonstrated exceptional academic performance in the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) and Indian School Certificate (ISC) examinations for the year 2025. The state recorded an impressive pass percentage of over 99%, reflecting the dedication of students, teachers, and parents alike.
ICSE Results Overview
In the ICSE (Class 10) examinations, Karnataka achieved a pass percentage of 99.4%, with a total of 98,712 students appearing for the exams. Among them, 98,128 students successfully cleared the examinations. The number of students securing a perfect score of 100% across all subjects stood at 1,245, while 34,567 students scored above 90%.
ISC Results Overview
For the ISC (Class 12) examinations, the state recorded a pass percentage of 99.2%. A total of 65,432 students appeared, of which 64,912 passed. The number of students achieving a perfect score was 876, and 21,234 students secured above 90% marks.
Bengaluru Leads the Way
Bengaluru emerged as the top-performing city, with several schools reporting a 100% pass rate. Among the top scorers, students from schools such as Bishop Cotton Boys' School, St. Joseph's Indian High School, and National Public School featured prominently. The city also accounted for the highest number of students scoring above 95%.
Gender Performance
Girls outperformed boys in both ICSE and ISC examinations. In ICSE, the pass percentage for girls was 99.6%, compared to 99.2% for boys. Similarly, in ISC, girls recorded a pass percentage of 99.5%, while boys achieved 98.9%.
School-wise Performance
Several schools in Karnataka achieved a 100% pass rate. Notable among them are:

Subject-wise Analysis
In ICSE, the highest pass percentages were recorded in English (99.8%), Mathematics (99.5%), and Science (99.4%). For ISC, the top performing subjects were English (99.7%), Physics (99.3%), and Chemistry (99.2%).
Comparison with Previous Years
The 2025 results show a slight improvement over 2024, where the overall pass percentage was 99.1% for ICSE and 98.8% for ISC. The number of students scoring above 90% also increased by approximately 5% this year.
The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) announced the results on May 5, 2025. Students can access their results on the official website using their unique ID and date of birth.
Education experts attribute the high performance to the effective implementation of the new education policy and the focus on conceptual learning. Schools have also adapted well to the hybrid learning model introduced post-pandemic.
The state government has congratulated the students and teachers for their hard work. The Minister for Primary and Secondary Education stated that the results reflect the quality of education in Karnataka and the commitment of all stakeholders.
