Jamshedpur Student Shambhavi Tewari Achieves Perfect Score in ISC Bioscience

Shambhavi Tewari, a student of Sacred Heart Convent School in Jamshedpur, has achieved 100 percent marks in the bioscience stream in the ISC examinations, the results of which were declared on Thursday. The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) announced the Class 10 and Class 12 results for 2026 on the same day.

Shambhavi scored a perfect 100% in English, physics, chemistry, and biology, and secured 99% in Hindi in the ISC examinations. An aspiring NEET (UG) candidate, she pursued the science stream and followed a disciplined eight-hour daily study routine. Despite her rigorous schedule, the film enthusiast made time to unwind by watching movies for about an hour each day. Even during the board exams, watching films remained part of her routine to recharge.

“I just chilled out watching old and contemporary Hindi movies,” said Shambhavi, who has been academically outstanding since her kindergarten days. Having scored 98.8% in the CISCE Class 10 exams, she realized her ambition to become a doctor while in Class 9.

Shambhavi has brought laurels to her school by excelling in several speech and debate competitions. She also represented her school at the Frank Anthony Zonal-Level Debate Competition held in Kolkata in August 2025.

“My father took care of all my academic needs. Even today, he drops me to school and picks me up so that I am never late and can manage my study schedule efficiently,” said Shambhavi, the only child of her working parents. She added that her mother helped her clear doubts whenever needed.

Her father, Rakesh Raman, is a programme executive at Akashvani Jamshedpur, while her mother, Nibha Sinha, is the head of the chemistry department at St. Mary’s High School. “Along with her focused study, guidance from school teachers and support from coaching tutors helped her achieve 100%,” said Raman, who resides at Bhagwati Homes in Adityapur.

Shambhavi’s mother, Nibha, a postgraduate in Chemistry, said she hopes her daughter will pursue a career in medicine and later prepare for the UPSC.
