The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has announced the results for the Class 10 board examinations, revealing a strong statewide performance. The overall pass percentage stands at an impressive 95.27 per cent, indicating that high scores are not confined to a few regions but are distributed across the state.
Top Performing Districts
Gumla has emerged as the top-performing district, achieving a remarkable pass percentage of 99.32 per cent. Out of 13,760 students who appeared for the exam, 13,667 successfully cleared it. Dumka secured the second position with a pass rate of 99.02 per cent, while Pakur claimed the third spot with 98.56 per cent. Other notable performances include East Singhbhum at 98.02 per cent, Bokaro at 96.43 per cent, and Dhanbad at 95.84 per cent. The state capital, Ranchi, recorded a pass percentage of 94.75 per cent.
Mid-Range and Lower Performances
Several districts in the mid-range bracket have also posted solid numbers. Latehar achieved 96.90 per cent, Sahebganj 96.22 per cent, and Palamu 96.01 per cent, all crossing the 96 per cent mark. Deoghar, Hazaribagh, Ramgarh, and West Singhbhum recorded pass percentages between 94 and 95 per cent. At the lower end, districts such as Simdega (92.29 per cent), Garhwa (91.71 per cent), Khunti (91.58 per cent), and Chatra (91.20 per cent) reported comparatively lower pass percentages, though all remained above 90 per cent. The district-level data shows a relatively narrow gap between top and bottom performers, suggesting consistent improvements in academic outcomes across regions.
Statewide Performance
This aligns with the broader trend observed in the state results. JAC reported that 4,02,178 out of 4,22,109 students passed the examination, pushing the overall pass percentage to 95.27 per cent. A large number of students—over 2.26 lakh—secured first division, indicating stronger performance at the top end as well.
