Haryana Students Excel in CISCE 2026 Exams

Gurgaon: Haryana students shone brightly as the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) announced the 2026 ICSE (Class X) and ISC (Class XII) results on Thursday afternoon. Both classes showed year-on-year improvement, with Class X results seeing a marginal rise and Class XII achieving a perfect 100% pass rate.

Class X Performance

In Class X, 2,554 students from 29 schools appeared for the examinations in 2026, compared to 2,582 students in 2025. The overall pass percentage stood at 99.8%, a marginal improvement from the previous year. Girls recorded a pass percentage of 99.9%, while boys achieved 99.8%, demonstrating equally strong performance.

Class XII Achieves 100% Pass Rate

Class XII students in Haryana performed exceptionally well, with all 1,068 students from 14 schools passing the examinations. This marks a 100% result, a slight increase from last year's 99.9% pass rate when 1,050 students from 15 schools appeared. Among the successful candidates, 560 were boys and 508 were girls.

Top Scorers and Their Stories

A wave of joy swept through ICSE and ISC schools in the city as students achieved outstanding results. Vansh Rakesh Jagtiani, a student of Shriram School, Moulsari, scored a perfect 100% in the Class XII examinations. He achieved full marks in Mathematics, English, Physics, Computer Science, and Psychology. Vansh is now set to pursue higher education in the United States, where he will study computer science at Cornell College.

Sharing his preparation strategy, Vansh said he never believed in studying long hours but followed a balanced schedule, maintaining consistency in his studies. He credited his success to the guidance of his teachers and timely preparation. Outside academics, he enjoys cycling and reading books.

Among the Class X top scorers, Adway Agrawal, a student of Scottish High School, achieved an outstanding 99.8%. He scored a perfect 100 in Hindi, Mathematics, Computer Science, and Science, while narrowly missing a full score in English with 99 marks. Adway credited his success to focusing on understanding concepts deeply and said he often engaged in group study sessions with friends to tackle difficult subjects. He is now pursuing the science stream and aims to build a career in physics. Beyond academics, he keeps active interests in sports and music and enjoys playing football and guitar.

School-Wise Achievements

In the city's Lt Atul Katarya Memorial School, 17 Class XII students scored 90% and above, while 44 students out of 48 secured distinction. Out of the 48 students in Class XII, 24 pursued science, 20 chose commerce, and 4 were from humanities. Similarly, out of 101 students who appeared for the Class X exam, 53 students secured 90% and above, and 97 students obtained distinctions. In English, Aditya Rajput and Siddhi Gupta topped the subject with 98 marks. In Hindi, Siddhi Gupta, Aditya Rajput, and Pratistha scored a perfect 100.
