Ahmedabad: The Class 12 examination results this year reflected a positive trend in overall school performance across Gujarat. The number of schools recording a 100% pass result increased, while those posting very low outcomes declined sharply.
Improvement in School Performance
In the Science stream, schools with a 100% result rose from 194 last year to 209 this year. At the same time, schools with less than 10% results fell from 34 to 22. Similarly, in the General stream, the number of schools achieving 100% results rose from 2,005 to 2,030. Meanwhile, schools with less than 10% results dropped from 21 to 13.
District-Wise A-1 Grade Analysis
However, in the Science stream, four districts — Dahod, Chhota Udepur, Mahisagar and Diu — did not record a single student securing an A-1 grade. In contrast, Surat district registered the highest number of A-1 grade students at 459. Among major cities, Ahmedabad reported 111 A-1 grade students, Rajkot 199 and Vadodara 137.
This data highlights the varying educational outcomes across different regions of Gujarat, with some districts excelling while others lag behind. The overall trend, however, points to an improvement in school performance statewide.
