The Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) 2026 June session is set to be conducted on June 28, 2026. The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has released the admit cards for the exam. Candidates who have registered for the FMGE June session can download their admit cards from the official website of NBEMS.
Admit Card Details and Verification
Candidates are advised to carefully verify all details mentioned on the admit card, including name, photograph, signature, date of birth, and exam center. Any discrepancies should be reported to NBEMS immediately. The admit card is a mandatory document for entry into the examination hall; candidates must carry a printed copy along with a valid photo ID.
Exam Day Instructions
The FMGE 2026 June session will be held in a computer-based test (CBT) format. Candidates must report to the exam center at least one hour before the scheduled time. Items such as electronic devices, bags, and study materials are prohibited inside the exam hall. The exam will test the knowledge of foreign medical graduates who wish to practice medicine in India.
According to NBEMS officials, the FMGE is a screening test for Indian citizens or Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) who hold a medical degree from a foreign university. Passing the FMGE is mandatory to obtain registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) or the respective State Medical Council. The June session is one of two annual sittings for the exam.
Downloading Admit Cards
Candidates can download their admit cards from the official NBEMS website using their registration number and date of birth. The admit card contains the candidate's roll number, exam date and time, and reporting time. It is advisable to take multiple printouts and keep a digital copy for future reference.
NBEMS has also released a detailed information bulletin for candidates, which includes exam guidelines, syllabus, and sample questions. Candidates are encouraged to review the bulletin thoroughly to avoid any last-minute confusion. The FMGE 2026 June session is expected to see a significant number of candidates, as it is a crucial step for foreign medical graduates to practice in India.
