The Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) announced the results for its high school (Class 10) and higher secondary (Class 12) examinations on Wednesday, highlighting significant achievements as female students continued to outperform their male counterparts at both academic levels.
Girls Lead in Pass Percentages
In the Class 10 results, the pass percentage for girls stood at 81.03%, while for Class 12 it was 86.04%. CGBSE secretary Pushpa Sahu confirmed the successful conduct of the 2026 examinations and the timely release of results. The data underscores a positive trend in academic performance among girl students in the state.
Class 10 Performance
The overall pass percentage for high school examinations was 77.15%. Reflecting the broader trend, girl students recorded a pass percentage of 81.03%, significantly higher than the 72.27% achieved by boys. Out of 314,953 students who appeared, 243,016 successfully passed.
Class 12 Performance
The higher secondary examinations demonstrated similarly impressive results, with an overall pass rate of 83.04%. Once again, girl students led with a pass percentage of 86.04%, compared to 78.86% for boys. A total of 202,549 students passed out of 243,898 who appeared.
Recognition for Remote Area Students
Candidates from remote and forested regions also secured merit list placements. Their success serves as a testament to their discipline and continuous efforts. The academic achievements of these students prove that talent can thrive even with limited resources and should receive greater support.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai congratulated the students, stating that girls secured the top positions, reflecting academic excellence and determination. "Heartiest congratulations to all the meritorious students who succeeded in these examinations. You are the pride of your families and the backbone of a developed Chhattisgarh and a developed India. Your dedication paves the way for a bright future," Sai said.
