The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has activated the re-evaluation and verification portal for the 2026 examination results. Students who are dissatisfied with their marks can now apply for verification of marks through the official website cbse.gov.in. The portal is currently working and accepting applications.
Steps to Apply for CBSE Re-evaluation 2026
To apply for re-evaluation or verification, follow these steps:
- Visit the official CBSE website at cbse.gov.in.
- Click on the 'Re-evaluation' link available on the homepage.
- Enter your roll number, school number, and date of birth to log in.
- Select the subjects for which you want to apply for verification.
- Pay the required fee online through debit card, credit card, or net banking.
- Submit the application and take a printout for future reference.
Important Details
The verification process involves re-checking of answer sheets for any calculation errors or missing marks. Students can apply for verification of one or more subjects. The fee for verification is Rs. 500 per subject. The last date to apply is expected to be announced soon. Candidates are advised to keep checking the official website for updates.
Note: Re-evaluation is different from verification. Verification only checks for totaling errors, while re-evaluation involves a complete re-assessment of the answer sheet. Students should choose the option carefully.
What After Verification?
After verification, if any discrepancy is found, the marks will be revised accordingly. The revised marksheet will be issued by the board. Students can also apply for re-evaluation if they still feel unsatisfied after verification. The entire process is online, and no physical documents need to be submitted.
For any queries, students can contact the CBSE helpline or visit the official website. The board has also released a detailed notification regarding the re-evaluation process, which is available on the website.
