CBSE Class 12 Results 2026 Expected by April 30

The Central Board of Secondary Education is expected to announce the Class 12 board results on or before April 30, 2026. The evaluation process is reportedly moving faster under the On-Screen Marking system introduced this year, though there is no official confirmation yet.

Digital Evaluation Process

The digital checking process was adopted to improve accuracy and reduce delays linked to manual assessment. Class 12 examinations were conducted from February 17 to April 10, 2026. With result processing understood to be in the final stage, students are awaiting the release of marksheets on official portals as well as government-backed digital platforms including DigiLocker and UMANG.

Expected Result Date and Past Trends

Reports indicate the digital evaluation system may advance the result declaration timeline compared with previous years. Last year, the senior secondary results were declared on May 13, with an overall pass percentage of 88.39 per cent. Recent result patterns have largely remained within the May window, though this year's process has raised expectations of an earlier announcement.

The board had declared the CBSE Class 10 result on April 15, 2026, for 24,71,777 candidates, of whom 23,16,008 passed. The Class 10 result release has also added to speculation that the Class 12 results may be announced before the month ends.

Official Websites to Check Results

Students can access provisional scorecards and download marksheets through the official websites once results are released. The designated portals are cbse.gov.in, results.cbse.nic.in and cbseresults.nic.in. Candidates are advised to keep their roll number, school number and admit card credentials ready before logging in, as heavy traffic is expected when the results go live.

Alternative Access Methods

Apart from websites, students can also access results through DigiLocker, the UMANG application and SMS services, which are generally used to reduce congestion on official portals during peak demand.

Steps to Download Marksheet on DigiLocker

Students can download the digital marksheet by opening the DigiLocker application or visiting digilocker.gov.in. After signing in with Aadhaar or a registered mobile number, they need to open the Education section and select Central Board of Secondary Education. Candidates should then choose Class XII Marksheet, enter roll number and required details, submit the information and download the marksheet for future use.

How to Check Through UMANG and Website

On the UMANG application, students need to sign in, search for CBSE services, select the Class 12 result option, enter required credentials and download the provisional marksheet. For the official websites, candidates should open any CBSE result portal, click the Class 12 result link, fill in roll number, school number and admit card ID, then submit to view and save the marksheet.

Post-Result Options for Students

After the declaration, original certificates will be issued through schools. CBSE is also expected to open processes for verification of marks, re-evaluation requests, photocopies of answer sheets and compartment examinations for eligible students. Students have been advised to track updates only through official CBSE channels.
